User Interaction Demonstrations

We collect here a set of demonstrations that show novel user interaction paradigm introduced by Search Computing at work on different domains.

Demonstration Video | Live Demonstrators

The interaction paradigm is able to support continuous evolution, manipulation, and extension of queries and results, so as to grant exploratory information seeking, according to the search as a process paradigm, that let the user get closer and closer to the sought information. Users can formulate multi-domain queries, i.e., queries over multiple semantic fields of interest, upon structured information sources exposed as software services.  Our applications act upon service registries, which hide the complexity of service implementation behind simple structures.

Live Demonstrators

Concert Planning

This demonstration aims at showcasing all the available interaction options offered by Liquid Query. Liquid Query is the part of the SeCo framework that deals with the user interactions, at the purpose of granting exploratory capabilities over the data.

BioInformatics

This online prototype shows a case study of the use of a domain independent search computing platform for describing well known bioinformatics resources as search services, and for carrying out integrated analyses over the resulting services.

Movie

This demonstration aims at showing a fully integrated example of all the subsystems composing the SeCo architecture. This demo includes: interaction with the Service Mart repository, execution of the query performed by the backend SeCo engine, visualization and exploration of data performed by the liquid query module.

Scientific Publications

This online prototype aims at showcasing a novel approach to Linked Data navigation, providing richer data navigation and exploration through configurable user interfaces, while offering mechanisms to create relationships between Linked Data and non-Linked Data sources.
